de Ladoucette Sancerre Blanc “Comte Lafond” 2023

 100

The Baron de Ladoucette Sancerre Blanc “Comte Lafond” 2023 is a high-quality wine produced in the Loire region, renowned for its intense floral and fruity aromas. This Sancerre is made exclusively from Sauvignon Blanc grapes grown in the best areas of the Sancerre appellation, which includes the villages of Bué, Chaudoux, Chavignol and Verdigny. The vineyards benefit from soil composed of clay, limestone and silica, which contributes to the aromatic richness and liveliness of the wine.

This Sancerre is produced using methods that preserve the natural aroma of the grapes. After harvest, the grapes are transported using systems that allow for emptying by gravity, maintaining the integrity of the fruit. The vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature for approximately six to eight weeks, followed by a period of maturation on the lees with periodic agitation to further enrich the structure of the wine.

Visually, the wine presents itself with a pale and brilliant gold color. On the nose, intense aromas of summer fruits such as peach and pear open up, followed by notes of citrus and a subtle peppermint background, which enhances its complexity. On the palate, it is lively and refreshing, with an acidic roundness that continues into a long and mineral finish.

The “Comte Lafond” is the name that evokes the ancient link of the Ladoucette family with the region, since the Comte Lafond was the first ancestor to settle and produce wine in this prestigious area. Ideal to be paired with seafood, fish and goat cheeses, this Sancerre is an example of elegance and refinement.
