Friulian Lime Tree Village “Ronco della Chiesa” 2020

​The Friulano “Ronco della Chiesa” 2020 by Borgo del Tiglio is a white wine that elegantly expresses the terroir of the Collio Friulano.​

This wine is obtained exclusively from Friulano grapes grown in the “Ronco della Chiesa” vineyard, located on marly and clayey soils typical of the Collio. The harvest is done manually, carefully selecting the best bunches. Fermentation takes place in oak barrels, followed by aging on the lees for several months, giving the wine complexity and structure.

Straw yellow in color with golden reflections, the nose presents notes of white flowers, almond and ripe fruit. On the palate it is enveloping and harmonious, with a pleasant minerality and a long persistence.

The name “Ronco della Chiesa” comes from the position of the vineyard, located on a hill (“ronco” in Friulian) near a local church. Borgo del Tiglio is a family business that for generations has dedicated itself to the production of high-quality wines, enhancing the native vines and the terroir of the Collio.

The 2020 Friulano “Ronco della Chiesa” is ready to taste now, but can evolve and develop further complexity over the next 3-5 years.
