GD Vajra, Barolo Ravera 2019
€ 220
The GD Vajra Barolo Ravera 2019 is a DOCG red wine produced with 100% Nebbiolo grapes, coming from the prestigious Ravera cru, located in the municipality of Novello.
The Ravera vineyard is recognized for its complex soil, composed of marls of Tortonian origin, sandstones and clays from the Serravallian period, located in a natural amphitheater at an altitude between 320 and 340 meters above sea level.
The 2019 vintage was characterized by a slow and progressive ripening, with a late harvest that allowed a balanced phenolic ripening.
The winemaking process involves traditional fermentation, followed by aging in oak barrels which enhances the structure and elegance of the wine.
On the nose, the Barolo Ravera 2019 offers aromatic notes of red fruits, such as cherry and raspberry, accompanied by floral hints of violet and iris, and nuances of sweet spices and mint.
On the palate, it presents an elegant and refined structure, silky tannins and a vibrant acidity that gives freshness and longevity to the wine.
The finish is long and harmonious, with a persistence that reflects the complexity of Ravera's terroir.
