Giovanni Viberti Barolo Reserve Bricco of Violets 2017
€ 230
Giovanni Viberti’s Barolo Riserva Bricco delle Viole 2017 is a DOCG red wine that embodies the quintessential viticulture of Barolo, one of Piedmont’s most prestigious wine regions. Produced exclusively with Nebbiolo grapes from a single vineyard, Bricco delle Viole, planted in 1964, this wine is reserved for those vintages considered particularly suited to long reserve maturation.
The vinification of Barolo Riserva Bricco delle Viole includes a long aging of 46 months in wooden vats, followed by a further 12 months of refinement in the bottle before being released for sale. This process gives the wine a deep and complex structure, with dominant notes of tar, tobacco, mint and licorice, enriched by hints of dried herbs, rose petals and ethereal spices.
This Barolo stands out for its marked character of minerality and freshness, with evident balsamic notes, which make it particularly suitable to accompany red meat dishes, spicy foods and pasta with robust sauces. It is also an excellent meditation wine, to be enjoyed after dinner with desserts based on orange peel and dark chocolate.
Bricco delle Viole is known for its aging potential, recommending a conservation that can extend until 2038 and beyond, promising an evolution that will continue to surprise and delight wine lovers.
