Shimeharitsuru Jun is a very high quality sake produced by the historic Miyao Shuzo company, founded in 1819 in the city of Murakami, Niigata Prefecture, Japan. This sake belongs to the Junmai Ginjo category, which means that it is made exclusively with rice, water and koji, without adding alcohol, and with a rice polishing process that reaches 50%, to guarantee a refined and pure taste.

Clear and crystalline in color, Shimeharitsuru Jun stands out for its elegant and complex aroma, with fruity and floral notes reminiscent of green apple and white flowers. On the palate it offers a soft and velvety texture, characterized by a perfect balance between sweetness and acidity. The taste is rounded and harmonious, with a pleasant persistence and a clean and dry finish, enriched by light mineral nuances that reflect the purity of the water used in its production.

This sake pairs wonderfully with raw fish dishes such as sashimi and sushi, bringing out the freshness and delicacy of the marine flavors. It also pairs well with white meat dishes, crispy tempura, and fresh cheeses, making it a versatile choice to accompany both traditional Japanese cuisine and international dishes.

The name “Shimeharitsuru” has a deep and symbolic meaning. “Shime” refers to a sacred rope used in Shinto shrines to mark off sacred areas, while “Tsuru” means crane, a Japanese symbol of longevity, luck and beauty. This name reflects the philosophy of the distillery, which considers sake production a sacred art and a tribute to nature and tradition.

Thanks to its constant production and its excellent taste, Shimeharitsuru Jun is a sake appreciated by connoisseurs all over the world. With its 1.8 liter format, it is perfect for sharing a unique and authentic experience with friends and family, celebrating moments of conviviality and refinement.
