L'Illuminata Estate, Barolo Sant'Anna 2016
€ 100
Tenuta L'Illuminata Barolo Sant'Anna 2016 is a refined DOCG red wine, produced in the famous Barolo wine region of Piedmont. This Barolo is made entirely with Nebbiolo grapes harvested exclusively from the Sant'Anna vineyard, known for its calcareous-sandy soil of Miocene origin, located in the prestigious area of La Morra.
The characteristics of the soil, the south-west exposure of the vineyard and the average altitude of 250 meters above sea level create the ideal conditions for the maturation of the Nebbiolo grapes, giving the wine an extraordinary aromatic complexity and a remarkable capacity for aging. The wine is aged for 46 months in oak barrels, followed by a further 12 months of refinement in the bottle, which enriches the profile of the Barolo with elegant notes and a well-integrated tannic structure.
Visually, Barolo Sant'Anna presents itself with a bright ruby red color with orange reflections. On the nose, intense aromas of berries, dried flowers, tobacco and spices emerge, with an undertone of licorice and mineral notes. On the palate, the wine is powerful but balanced, with a soft entry that evolves into a rich complexity of flavors, supported by a lively acidity and robust tannins, which promise excellent evolution over time.
