Gaja Ca' Marcanda Vistamare 2022

The Gaja Ca' Marcanda Vistamare 2022 is a white wine of exceptional refinement and complexity, produced in the renowned Tuscan terroir of Bolgheri by the historic Gaja winery, known for its winemaking tradition dating back to 1859. This wine is the only white produced by the estate Ca' Marcanda, and is a cuvée of Vermentino, Viognier and Fiano, which perfectly expresses the influence of the sea and the Mediterranean climate on these vines.

The Vistamare 2022 is particularly notable for its intense floral notes of acacia and lime, which blend harmoniously with fresh notes of citrus and garden fruits. Fiano adds nuances of musk and menthol, enriching the bouquet with its complexity. On the palate, the wine is fresh and well balanced, with a pleasant minerality that evolves into an elegant and persistent finish. Notes of bergamot, pear and nectarine are followed by more mineral and spicy touches of flint, rosemary and saffron, while the finish is enriched with suggestions of mango, almond and fig leaves.

Vistamare is ideal as an aperitif or paired with delicate dishes such as creamy risottos, summer salads or sushi, thanks to its structure which supports a variety of flavors without overwhelming them. This wine, as well as being an excellent example of a Tuscan white, is also an ideal candidate for ageing, promising to evolve and mature gracefully for a few years.
