Ca' del Bosco Cuvée Prestige 46th edition

 85

Ca' del Bosco Cuvée Prestige 46th edition is a distinct expression of Franciacorta's winemaking tradition and innovation. This wine was born in 1976 as Franciacorta Pinot and has acquired, over the years, a distinctive character that reflects the terroir of origin. After several years of experimentation, it has matured into the Cuvée Prestige and since 2017 it has been identified with the name “Edizione” to emphasize the different nuances of each vintage.

The 46th edition of Cuvée Prestige consists of 79.5% of Chardonnay, 1.5% of Pinot Blanc and 19% of Pinot Noir. These wines come from 228 certified organic vineyards, carefully selected for this cuvée. Each bunch is washed and dried individually before vinification, which takes place in stainless steel tanks with temperature control for seven months. The wine then matures on the yeasts for 25 months, obtaining a complexity and structure that make every sip a unique experience.

This production method, known as the Ca' del Bosco Method, is characterized by meticulous attention to detail in every phase of the process, from harvest to winemaking, with the aim of enhancing the natural qualities of the grapes. The production philosophy is based on the idea that great wines are born in the vineyard, with an organic approach that respects and protects the biodiversity of the terroir.

The Cuvée Prestige 46th edition presents itself as a Franciacorta Extra Brut with an alcohol content of 12.8% and a maximum sulfur dioxide level of 51 milligrams per liter, offering a flavor profile that is both refined and intensely expressive of its origins.
