Dom Pérignon Brut 2010

 460

2010. The winter was harsh, the spring dry and late, the summer hot but not excessively. After a particularly sunny decade, this freshness was surprising. Then, two days of deluge stopped this ideal trajectory. In a few days, botrytis developed on the grapes, especially on Pinot Noir.

This triggered a race against time. The grapes weren't fully ripe yet, but a decision had to be made - and quickly. Dom Pérignon used all his resources to draw a precise map that would verify the maturity and the state of health in each individual plot. Every minute was precious.

The experience put into practice in this situation has allowed the Maison to save excellent plots cultivated with Pinot Noir. The challenge was accepted and won: Dom Pérignon declared a Vintage literally “saved from the waters”: Dom Pérignon Vintage 2010, the result of intuition and mastery.
