François Legros, Chambolle Musigny 1er Cru “Les Noirots” 2021
€ 200
François Legros’ 2021 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru “Les Noirots” is a red wine from the renowned Burgundy region of France. This wine is known for its deep ruby red color and its aromatic bouquet that evolves over time, starting with notes of small red fruits such as strawberries and raspberries, to arrive at riper fruits and spicy notes.
“Les Noirots” is described as a wine of great structure, massive and complex, with a solid construction that promises longevity. Its vinification includes fermentation in oak vats using new oak 35%, and the wine is left to mature for 18 months. The vines, which have an average age of 45 years, are located in two parcels north of Chambolle-Musigny, just below the Grands Crus “Bonne Mares”, on calcareous, rocky and red clay soils.
The Chambolle-Musigny “Les Noirots” is ideal to pair with rich dishes such as roast lamb and game birds, but also with cheeses such as Chaource and Reblochon. Due to its intensity and complexity, it is advisable to wait a few years to fully enjoy its qualities, although it is already accessible for tasting. Production is limited to around 1400 bottles per year, which makes it a precious example for wine lovers and collectors.
