Gaja & Graci Idda White 2022

The Gaja Idda Bianco 2022 is a sublime expression of Etna's volcanic terroir, reflecting the mastery and innovation of the Gaja winery in collaboration with Alberto Graci. This white wine, produced entirely with Carricante grapes, a native Sicilian grape variety, captures the unique essence of this rich and complex land.

Grown on the south-west slopes of Etna, the vineyards benefit from a soil rich in volcanic minerals and an ideal climate which gives the wine its marked minerality and aromatic intensity. The grapes are harvested manually, followed by slow fermentation and maturation in stainless steel to preserve the freshness and purity of the fruit.

Visually, the wine presents a bright straw yellow color. On the nose, lively notes of citrus, white peach and aromatic herbs emerge, enriched by an elegant minerality that evokes the volcanic origins of its terroir. On the palate, the Gaja Idda Bianco 2022 is vibrant and fresh, with a crunchy texture that is expressed through flavors of green apple, lemon and a touch of almond in the finish, offering a perfect balance between acidity and body.

This wine is ideal for accompanying fish and seafood dishes, particularly raw or delicately cooked, such as swordfish carpaccio or seafood risotto. Its freshness also makes it an excellent aperitif, capable of stimulating the appetite.
