This sake is produced by Matsuse distillery in Shiga prefecture in Japan. It is a high quality sake of the Junmai Ginjo type, which means that it is made only with rice, water and koji (a mushroom used for fermentation) without adding distilled alcohol.

“Matsu no Tsukasa” means “the wisdom of the pine tree”, which reflects the philosophy of the distillery, which is to create a sake that expresses the essence of the surrounding nature. The flavor is soft and delicate, with a floral scent and a clean, fresh aftertaste. Additionally, sake has a low acidity content and a slight sweet finish.

“Matsu no Tsukasa Junmai Ginjo Raku” sake can be enjoyed at room temperature or slightly warmed, and is often paired with light dishes such as sushi or raw fish. However, its light flavor also makes it a great choice to accompany delicate dishes such as grilled vegetables or salads.
