Trimbach Riesling Clos Sainte-Hune 2009

 250

The 2009 Trimbach Riesling Clos Sainte-Hune is one of the rarest and most admired white wines in the world, celebrated for its extraordinary finesse and complexity. This Riesling comes from the exclusive 1.67 hectare vineyard in the Grand Cru Rosacker in Hunawihr, maintained by the Trimbach family for over 200 years. The calcareous soil of Clos Sainte Hune allows this Riesling to develop a distinctive aromatic profile and a wonderful concentration of fruit.

Produced without malolactic fermentation and aged in neutral barrels to preserve the purity of the fruit, the wine is then matured in the bottle for at least five years before sale, suggesting an aging potential of 10 to 20 years. The wine stands out for its intense minerality and elegant structure, with an almost infinite persistence in the mouth.

2009 is a particularly excellent vintage for Clos Sainte Hune, appreciated not only for its olfactory and gustatory qualities but also as a collector's item.

This Riesling pairs beautifully with delicate dishes, such as salads and seafood, thanks to its ability to bring out subtle flavors without overpowering them. It is a wine that enchants with its balance and depth, representing a true expression of the Alsace terroir.
