Kawatsuru Sanuki Cloudy

 65

The "Sanuki Cloudy" of the Kawatsuru distillery is a sake produced in the Kagawa prefecture in Japan. This sake is of the "nigori" type, which is an opaque sake obtained when the yeasts multiply during the fermentation of rice and koji, the sake mold, giving the drink a cloudy appearance.

Sanuki Cloudy is made with the local “Gohyakumangoku” rice and the same yeast used for the local Kagawa sake called “Kudoki Jozu”. This gives it a unique flavor and a good balance of sweetness and bitterness characteristic of nigori sake.

With an ABV of 6%, it is relatively light and easy to drink, making it popular with women and young people. It is recommended to combine it with fatty or fried dishes or those with an acidic note. Furthermore, it can be enjoyed both cold and hot, and is particularly suitable as an accompaniment to meals.
