Lelarge Pugeot Tradition Extra Brut
€ 150
Lelarge-Pugeot Tradition Extra Brut is a Premier Cru Champagne produced with a philosophy that emphasizes biodiversity and respect for the environment. This sparkling wine is made from 50% Meunier, 40% Pinot Noir and 10% Chardonnay, deriving from vines that are more than 30 years old. The winemaking methods include spontaneous fermentations and a 10-month refinement in foudres, barriques and stainless steel tanks on the fine yeasts, followed by a period of rest in the bottle for three to four years on the yeasts.
Visually, the Lelarge-Pugeot Tradition Extra Brut has a pale straw yellow color with a fine and persistent perlage. On the nose, it reveals an aromatic profile rich in notes of dried fruit, dehydrated apricot, orange peel and walnut, completed by nuances of brioche and a tangent minerality.
On the palate, this Champagne offers a depth of flavor with a creamy texture and a persistent taste that balances its extra brut nature. It is an excellent choice to accompany a variety of dishes, including light appetizers, seafood and cheeses.
The Lelarge-Pugeot house, located in the village of Vrigny in the Montagne de Reims region, is an eighth generation Champagne producer, with a strong emphasis on organic and biodynamic production. This commitment to sustainability and innovation is reflected in the distinctive character of their Champagnes, which celebrate the excellence and integrity of the territory.
